Kyon’s Failure

If there is one thing I was disappointed about in the recent Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya episodes, it was the lack of Mikuru in any shape or form. Luckily for the Mikuru fans out there, episode ten (or four mattering how you’re looking at it) of the series saved the day by not only giving us one but two Mikurus! Normally I would have been dancing in joy but after rewatching the episodes 284 times, a sudden sadden overtook my heart. The reason?
Click on the two above thumbnails to get a full view to understand my pain. The Mikuru run run meido photos were only saved at 680×480 resolution! What kind of blasphemy is that! I don’t know whether to blame Kyon or Haruhi for the lack of full high resolution meido Mikuru, but it’s an un-justice that should never have happened!
Kyon and Haruhi should learn from the above screenshot. One must keep a collection at their full original resolutions at all cost! Anything else is just pure blasphemy. I can only hope Haruhi is secretly hiding the original photos somewhere safe until their inclusion in the The Adventures of Mikuru run run DVD. If not, some of the greatest treasures in the world have been forever lost to low resolution purgatory!
Thankfully low resolution Mikuru aside, all was lost. Kyon and Haruhi, listen up. This should be how photos are taken. Thank you Adult Mikuru for being so ultra hot. All the fanboys out there salute you and your awesome 2D curves. (Click on the thumbnails to get the original HD sized versions)
Haruhi, I hope you had a hidden camera installed somewhere in the clubroom when Adult Mikuru was around. The photos of Adult Mikuru alone can net a tidy sum. Combine that with Loli Mikuru and Haruhi could easily be on her way to make millions! Megami Magazine already has the right idea

one thing I wanted to say was, didn’t haruhi take the images with those cheap digital cameras? Like i mean, it must’be been some weak-sauce megapixels.

Well, you can see the camera’s HUD in episode 5 as Kyon’s putting the camera down. Based on that, I’m assuming the original high resolution pics are safe and sound on the camera, and these are just scaled-down versions for web display.
Now, this might be a KyoAni introduced plot hole, since there’s a nice little thumbnailed web shrine here in Melancholy IV, while in Mysterique Sign Haruhi claims to know too little about computers to upload her emblem to the SOS Brigade site.

Good points Vinland as I’ve forgotten about the original settings of the digital camera in episode five. So there’s hope of full quality Mikuru goodness on the DVD release eh? LOL
For your second question, maybe there’s a program for the camera that does all the work? That would at least “fix” one plot hole of Haruhi being unable to upload photos to the site.
kozumura, good call. My need to sleep had killed any sense of spelling and grammar I may usually possess. I knew that word “un-justice” looked off!
